Welcome to Ngorongoro Conservation Area:

The Ngorongoro conservation area is a national key point area in Tanzania, situated in the northern part of Arusha. The conservation name was given by the Maasai pastoralists referring to the sound of a cowbell known as Ngorongoro. Also known Ngorongoro crater, is today Unesco world heritage site. The crater is a transit passage for a huge number of wildebeests and zebras during the annual migration. Visitors doing Safaris in the Ngorongoro the only intact world caldera has extras value as they can observe the great migration also known as Africa's biggest animal migration from Ndutu Lake.

The amazing Oldupai Gorge where a 1.75 million-year-old hominin skull and footprints were discovered, still allowing visitors to take the track of the early man and can be trekked directly from Ngorongoro. The Ngorongoro conservation area is one of the best African safari destinations with its direct connection to Serengeti National Park. Visitors to Ngorongoro crater can sample some of the best locally grown and brewed African coffee on a guided safari.

The huge volcanic area, Ngorongoro crater is one of the few places in Africa one will see domestic animals belonging to the Maasai tribe graze alongside wildlife.  Ngorongoro covers a chunk area of land of approximately 8292 Kilometer square.  The Hominin fossils in Olduvai Gorge date back some millions of years.
