Just after 4 hours 45 minutes and at about 438 Km from Cape Town City Centre, lies  the towns of Oudtshoorn and De Rust in the Klein Karoo between the spectacular Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains. The central C.P. Nel Museum is where one could learn about the ostrich-feather boom era and houses a working synagogue. The Cango Wildlife Ranch a conservation park , is one of the  biggest tourist attractions. To the north of the town at approximately 30 Km lies the Cango Caves , the number one tourist attraction and Africa's largest show cave system, a 20-million-year-old network of limestone chambers.  Oudtshoorn is known as the ostrich capital of the world.
