Plains Camp is not only distinctive in its design – with only four East African Safari-style tents, but also in the way things are done.  The manner of trail is similar to those of SANParks in that it is a proper trail with walks of up to four hours allowing one to submerse ones senses in a hands on experience, not just a mid-morning stroll after breakfast.  What sets it apart is the combination of the wealth of knowledge and experience of our highly qualified trail’s guides and unique elegance of the furnishings and treasured antiques, quality of food and service and presence of a cool plunge pool in which to enjoy a cocktail overlooking the plain between walks.

And if the best of both world’s is not enough – there is the added attraction of an optional night spent out under the stars at the sleepout decks under the care of a qualified guide!  We are delighted to be able to share this matchless blend of Kruger in style with our many return guests and supporters of ethical and responsible environmental tourism.

Restaurant:

Tea, coffee and rusks are served at 06h00 before departing on your morning walking safari. Brunch is served at 09h30 upon arrival back at the lodge. Enjoy a selection of hot and cold buffet breakfast items and a selection of pastries, cold meats and cheeses. High-tea is served at 15h00 before you depart for your afternoon game drive and includes a wide selection of savory and sweets. Dinner is served at 20h00 in our dining area. overlooking the plain. Make your selection from our menu and enjoy delicious plated starter, main meal and dessert in the company of all the guests at the lodge and your guides. A communal table is set in the dining room or on the adjacent outside deck and guests enjoy meals with each other and their guide.
