Honeymoon Safari Questions

How much does a honeymoon safari cost?

Our honeymoon safaris start from around $5,500 per person sharing for a week at Victoria Falls and the Chobe, rising to $9,500 and beyond for the ultra-private Okavango Delta. Most couples spend between $7,000 and $14,000 per person for a 7 to 10-night trip at a five-star standard, including lodges, most meals, internal flights, game drives and romantic touches. International flights are extra. Tell us your budget and we will shape the perfect honeymoon around it.

When is the best time for a honeymoon safari?

The dry season from June to October offers the finest big-game viewing across most of Africa, while the green months bring newborn wildlife, lush scenery and lower rates. For bush-and-beach honeymoons, April to November pairs prime game viewing with warm, calm seas. We time your trip to your dates and what matters most to you.

Which destination is best for a honeymoon?

It depends on your dream. South Africa is the most varied and easiest for first-timers, combining bush, beach, city and wine. Tanzania and Kenya deliver the iconic Migration and balloon flights. Botswana's Okavango Delta is the most private and exclusive. Victoria Falls adds a natural wonder and a touch of adventure. Many couples combine two or more.

Can we combine a safari with a beach?

Absolutely — bush and beach is the most loved honeymoon shape. We pair safaris with the islands of Mozambique, the white sands of Zanzibar, the Seychelles or a Cape beach, so you finish your honeymoon with your toes in the sand.

Do you arrange special honeymoon surprises?

Always — it is our favourite part. Champagne and notes on arrival, private candlelit dinners, couples' spa treatments, sandbank picnics, romantic turndowns and anniversary surprises are woven throughout. Share your love story and any wishes and we tailor the rest.

How far in advance should we book?

For peak season and the most exclusive camps — especially in Botswana — we recommend booking 9 to 12 months ahead, as guest numbers are deliberately limited. For other destinations, 6 months is comfortable. The earlier you reach out, the more choice you have.
