Seven nights of two — the Atlantic seaboard, the Cape Peninsula and the oak-shaded winelands, planned by a Cape Town local
This is Cape Town the way two people in love should see it — slow mornings on the Atlantic seaboard, Table Mountain from the top as the city wakes, a boat on the water as the sun drops behind the sea, and two unhurried nights among the oaks and vineyards of Franschhoek. There is no safari leg and no rushing for flights. Six nights, three settings, and a local who knows which table has the view and which beach is quiet at five o'clock.
We plan it around the two of you. Every hotel is chosen for couples — a clifftop house above Bantry Bay, a glass eyrie over the working harbour, a vineyard suite under the Franschhoek mountains. Between them we fold in the things that make a Cape honeymoon: a private car and a guide who doubles as a photographer, a cellar lunch booked before the crowds, and an evening cruise that is yours alone. You arrive, hand over the logistics, and spend the week looking at each other and at one of the loveliest corners of the world.
Made for newlyweds who want romance over roughing it — city, coast and wine country at a five-star standard, with a private guide, short easy drives and real time to do nothing at all. Add a bush or island finale afterwards if you want the safari too; this week is about the Cape.
Clifton coves, Camps Bay and Bantry Bay — the coast road at its best, early, before the day warms up
Up the cableway ahead of the queues, the whole city and both oceans laid out below you
Just the two of you on the water off the seaboard as the sun goes down over the Atlantic
Chapman's Peak, the penguins at Boulders and the old lighthouse at Cape Point in one slow day
Two nights in the winelands with a private cellar tasting and a candlelit dinner among the vines
The oldest wine valley in the country and the gardens under the mountain's eastern slopes
We meet you at the airport and drive you round to the Atlantic seaboard, where your room looks straight out over the water. Nothing is planned for the first evening beyond a cold bottle of Cape sparkling on the terrace and an early night if the flight was long.

📍 Bantry Bay, Atlantic Seaboard
A 1912 clifftop house kept as a private hotel, with twelve rooms, one of the finest South African art and wine collections in the country, and the whole Atlantic in front of you. Staff outnumber guests, which is exactly what a first week together should feel like.
From $950 per person per night
📍 V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
Built into the top floors of the old grain silo above the contemporary art museum, with faceted glass windows that bulge out over the harbour and the mountain. Rooms are full of colour and light, and the rooftop pool looks straight at Table Mountain.
From $1,050 per person per night
📍 Franschhoek, Cape Winelands
A vineyard estate at the head of the Franschhoek valley, each suite styled differently, with the mountains on three sides and the vines running up to the door. Croquet on the lawn, a long pool, and the sort of quiet that only the winelands have.
From $900 per person per night
📍 Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands
On the Helshoogte pass between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, lodges with private terraces and plunge pools looking across the Banhoek valley, two restaurants, a spa and art and jewellery throughout. A fine alternative or second winelands base.
From $1,000 per person per night
📍 Franschhoek, Cape Winelands
A wine farm turned country house hotel, set among seventeen hectares of vines and gardens with the Franschhoek mountains behind. Art, a wine studio and an easy, unstuffy welcome make it a favourite for couples who want the winelands without the formality.

Cape Town is at its warmest and driest from October to April, with long light evenings for sunset cruises and vineyard dinners — the classic honeymoon window. June to August is cooler and wetter, but it brings whales offshore, fireside cellar tastings and the lowest rates of the year, so it suits couples who like the Cape quiet.
We live here. We know which table has the view, which beach empties out at five, and which cellar to book before the day-tour crowds arrive.
Three distinct settings in one easy week, with short drives and real time to rest, rather than a dash between airports.
A private cruise, a candlelit cellar dinner, a side-by-side spa and nightly turndowns are included — not extras you have to chase on the day.
This week is pure Cape. When you want the Big Five or an island finale, we fold it onto the end so the whole trip is handled by one team.
