When to Go?:

The summer season offers the best time to explore Plettenberg Bay, especially for beach enthusiasts and holiday seekers. The month of December and January are extremely busy due to the influx of locals travelling from all four corners of the country for vacation, not only in Plettenberg Bay but along the entire Garden Route. From February to April crowds diminish as South African school holidays are over leaving beaches less crowded. Plettenberg Bay and the Garden Route remain as open destinations all year round as winter brings marine visitors on our shores such as the humpback and the Southern Right whales, making Plettenberg Bay one of the best places to see these Whales in South Africa.
