Cape Town, Sabi Sand, Victoria Falls, Chobe & the Okavango Delta
This is the full sweep of Southern Africa in a single trip, flown rather than driven so you spend your time in the places rather than on the road between them. You start in Cape Town for three nights under Table Mountain, add a night in the Franschhoek winelands, then fly straight to a private concession in the Sabi Sand for three nights of Big Five game drives on the western edge of Kruger. From there it is on to Victoria Falls for the river and the waterfall, a night over the border at Chobe for its elephant herds, and a last stretch of water and wildlife in the Okavango Delta before you fly out through Johannesburg. Every internal flight, transfer, park fee, game drive and meal on safari is arranged end to end, with a qualified guide on each leg.
The order is deliberate. Cape Town first gives you a soft landing and the easy days — the mountain, the Cape peninsula, the vineyards — before the early starts of the bush. The Sabi Sand sits against Kruger with no fences between them, which is why the game viewing there is as good as it gets in South Africa, and the private traverse means off-road sightings the national park itself does not allow. Victoria Falls and Chobe fold the Zambezi and one of Africa's great elephant populations into the middle of the trip, and the Okavango finishes it on water — mokoro among the reeds and game drives on the islands. Three pricing tiers run from well-run four-star lodges and camps up to an exclusive-use, private-guide version, so the trip fits the budget you set. If you have less time, our Cape Town safari combination and our Victoria Falls and Chobe short break each cover a piece of this route on their own.
Built for travellers making their first big trip to Africa who want to see the headline places once and properly — city, winelands, Big Five bush, the Zambezi and the Delta — without backtracking. It suits couples, friends travelling together and small family groups; for a romance-led island version with Mozambique beaches, our grand honeymoon circuit is the better fit.
Three nights in Cape Town — the mountain, Cape Point and the Boulders penguins
Franschhoek valley — cellar tastings and a long lunch between the vines
Three nights on a private traverse against Kruger, with off-road game drives
The waterfall on foot and a sundowner cruise above it on the river
A night over the Botswana border for the densest elephant herds in Africa
Mokoro among the reeds and island game drives to finish the journey
You land at Cape Town International, are met and transferred to your hotel on the Atlantic seaboard. The rest of the day is yours to find your feet after the flight — a walk along the waterfront, an early dinner with a view of the harbour, and a good night's rest before the city proper tomorrow.

📍 V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa
A waterfront hotel on its own island marina with Table Mountain filling the view, a short walk from the harbour and the restaurants of the V&A. Large rooms, a spa and a pair of well-regarded dining rooms make it an easy base for the city days at the start of the trip.
From $650 per person per night
📍 Franschhoek valley, Cape Winelands, South Africa
A small wine-estate retreat set in vineyards and plum orchards on the edge of Franschhoek, each suite individually furnished and looking out on the mountains that ring the valley. Long lunches, a vine-side pool and the cellars of the valley on the doorstep make the winelands night the gentle hinge between city and bush.
From $620 per person per night
📍 Sabi Sand, Greater Kruger, South Africa
A long-established family camp on the Sand River at the centre of the Sabi Sand, with a tracking record for leopard that few places in Africa can match. Rooms step down to the river, the game drives run on a private traverse against Kruger, and the guiding is as good as it gets in the country.
From $950 per person per night
📍 Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
A tented lodge on the banks of the Zambezi inside the national park, a few minutes upstream of the waterfall. The suites face the river, elephant cross the floodplain in front of camp, and the upper-Zambezi cruises leave from the lodge's own jetty.
From $720 per person per night
📍 Chobe National Park, Botswana
A lodge set on a rise above the Chobe River, its name meaning 'place of high view', looking over the floodplain where the elephant herds gather. Private cottages, a spa and both boat and vehicle access to the park put you among the largest elephant population in Africa.
From $680 per person per night
📍 Mombo Concession, Okavango Delta, Botswana
A camp on the northern tip of Chief's Island in one of the richest wildlife concessions in the Delta, raised on a deck above the floodplain. Big cats are the draw, the game is dense year-round, and the concession is private, so the drives run off-road and the camp holds only a handful of guests.

The dry winter months from May to October are the strongest window for this trip. The bush thins out and the game gathers at water in the Sabi Sand, Chobe and the Okavango, the Delta flood is at its highest from June to August, and the Cape is mild and clear. October is the peak for game but hot; the green season from November to March is quieter and cheaper, with green bush and fine Cape summer weather, though the game viewing is harder.
Cape Town, the winelands, Big Five bush, the Zambezi and the Delta stitched into a single trip, flown between so you are not giving your days to the road.
The city and winelands first for a soft landing, then the early starts of the bush — built the way a seasoned consultant would plan it, not a list of places in random sequence.
A clear classic price with the exact cost of the luxury and exclusive-use upgrades shown up front — no gated 'enquire for price'.
Every flight, border, park fee and transfer across three countries arranged end to end, with a qualified guide on each leg and support throughout.
