Overview
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is South Africa's oldest proclaimed game reserve and the birthplace of modern rhino conservation — the place where the southern white rhino was saved from extinction through the legendary Operation Rhino. Its emerald hills, riverine forest and open savanna in the heart of Zululand shelter all of the Big Five, with some of the finest rhino viewing anywhere in Africa, both white and the elusive black rhino.
This three-day journey combines the wilderness of the park with the comfort of Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge, the only private lodge inside its boundaries, and a night on the neighbouring &Beyond Phinda reserve.
