The golf plays year-round at Victoria Falls, but the safari peaks in the dry season from May to October, when the bush thins and Hwange's elephant herds gather at the waterholes in their hundreds. The Falls themselves are at their most colossal from March to May after the rains, and clearer to photograph by September and October. The green season from November to March is hot with afternoon storms, lush landscapes and the lowest prices of the year, with golf still on in the mornings.
